Quick and easy wholewheat bread

This bread is easy to make - a tasty and nutritious staple.

  • Preparation Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 3 cups nutty wheat flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups sour milk (Inkomazi)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together and stir.
  3. Pour mixture into a 23cm greased loaf pan.
  4. Bake for one hour at 180˚C.
  5. Remove from pan and cool on a cooling rack.
